I'm just about ready to pack up for an epic arts party in Salina, Ks at The Smoky Hill River Festival.
For 47 years, the folks in Salina have held the Smoky Hill River Festival in Oakdale Park and they do a great job. I had a wonderful time there last year and look forward to seeing everyone this year.
My booth is near the entrance on the Fine Art (east) side of the festival grounds, booth E-58. I have a ton of new artwork ranging in size from 3"x3" to 24"x36", so patrons have several choices at varied price points.
The folks in Salina do a great job in support of the artists and is one reason this festival is so popular. Another reason I like this show is their First Treasures program. On Saturday, children 4-13 years old get to enter a special tent without their parents so they can select their own artwork to begin collecting. Everything is priced at $5 or less. I'll have three of my Small Wonders originals in the First Treasures tent. I love it when the young collectors come by the booth, show their purchase and the joy that comes along with it. Hugs are always welcome!
