This is a singular work, created during one of Ray’s trips to the Hawaiian islands in the 1980’s, so we've taken special care to print this on an extraordinary paper.
Inspired by classic Asian watercolor paintings, Ray tore paper to add dimension and texture to the work, then painted with watercolor to convey the translucent colors of water and mist.
Original: Watercolor over torn paper
Your museum quality, high resolution reproduction is individually printed in our studio with archival ink on delicate Moenkopi Unryu paper, an all-natural paper made in Japan from mulberry and hemp fibers. Containing long fibers of mulberry, the texture of each paper is different, so the texture of the artwork and paper interact to make each print unique.
Limited edition of 300. Giclée print ready for framing with mat and backer board.
On-screen images may contain RA watermark. Framed images are for illustration purposes only.
