Here I am, all set up and ready for opening early on Mother's Day in Eureka Springs' Basin Park. This was shot from across the street and the booth has nice visibility! You can see the jugglers taking a break and looking at the jewelry booth before they made it over to mine. They were a lot of fun.
This was my first official art fair and it was a great experience. I got to meet a lot of people, both locals and visitors from other areas. It was great to talk with everyone, get a better feel for what art fair attendees in this neck of the woods are interested in and, oh yeah...sell my artwork!
Saturday was pretty rainy in the morning. It's so wonderful setting up in the rain! After about 11AM, the sprinkles left and the rest of the day was cloudy, but dry. We had a lot of traffic on Saturday.
Sunday was beautiful. As you can see from the photo, the sun was out (for most of the day). There weren't as many people on Sunday, but it was Mother's Day and everyone was in a great mood.
A big thank you goes out to Beth Sammons for the loan of her EZ-UP tent. I couldn't have done it without you!
If you haven't been to Eureka Springs, it is a beautiful little town with old stone buildings, a relaxed ambiance and wonderful people. Come visit sometime!
I created a lot of work for the show and I'll be highlighting some here in this blog as time passes. Until then....happy spring!
